What is a FUE hair transplant with a sapphire scalpel?

Constant technological advancement has cleared the path for novel procedures in hair transplantation and anti-hair loss therapy. Hair  transplantation has grown and progressed tremendously in recent years, becoming a minimally invasive surgical treatment due to the more efficient use of innovative medical technologies. DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SAPPHIRE FUE AND CLASSIC FUE HAIR TRANSPLANT

Sapphire FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) employs a sapphire scalpel instead of a steel scalpel to open micro channels in the receiving area. Unlike the Classic FUE procedure, Sapphire FUE is carried out with the aid of a sapphire scalpel.

By opening smaller micro channels within the receiver area, the blades are designed to reduce crust development and speed up the recovery process. Following local anesthetic, the follicular units are collected one by one from the donor area using a micro motor equipped with a punch with a variable size of 0.6 – 0.7 – 0.8 mm in FUE with a sapphire scalpel.

Using a sapphire scalpel to open tiny channels is the best method available today. The canals are filled with follicular units. Sharp, smooth, and durable sapphire scalpels with variable dimensions of 1.0 – 1.3 – 1.5 mm are used to make micro incisions the same length as the follicular units. As a result, additional channels can be opened, allowing hair grafts to be transplanted closer together.
